We would like to inform you that, according to the official resolution of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Article 10, subpara. 10-4 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Tourist Activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan") dated January 1, 2023, a tourist tax for all non-residents has been introduced in the country.
Its amount is 5% of the room rate per night.
The tourist tax for foreigners is charged from tourists for every day of stay in places of accommodation for tourists, with the exception of hostels, guest houses, and rental housing in cities and regions.
The payable amount of the tourist tax for foreigners is not included in the price of accommodation.
Upon the foreigners’ checkout, operators issue documents certifying the payment of the tourist tax for foreigners.
